Profile
Todd Rogers has directed the KU Law Office of Career Services since February 2003. He is a 1998 honors graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, he clerked for an Am Law 100 firm in Dallas, Texas and published an award-winning article in UT Law's Review of Litigation.
After graduation, he served for two years as a judicial clerk for Justices Jan Patterson and John Powers at the Texas Court of Appeals in Austin. Todd accepted a position with a large Kansas City-based law firm upon moving to Lawrence in 2001, and he practiced as an associate attorney for two years before joining the KU Law Office of Career Services.
To enhance the job prospects of KU law students, Todd builds relationships with legal employers through extensive personal contact, sponsorship of a Speaker's Series and an on-campus interview program utilized by 100 employers annually, and innovative events such as Legal Career Options Day and the 1L Mentor Program. He's also spearheaded the creation of job-hunting resources such as the KU Law Small Firms Directory, Government Opportunities Guide, and Judicial Clerkship Handbook.
Todd currently serves a Chair of the Diversity Clerkship Program Subcommittee of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. He also is the sponsor to KU Law's Public Interest Law Society. In 2006, he was nominated for a National Association of Law Placement Award of Distinction.
In his spare time, Todd enjoys attending KU basketball and football games, training for marathons, golf, and volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
