Advocacy Certificate Requirements
To qualify to obtain the certificate, students during their first year must notify the registrar of their intention to meet the certificate requirements. The students then will receive the certificate if they meet the requirements for the degree Juris Doctor and earn credits as follows:

Clinical Requirement
One of the following:
- Criminal Prosecution Clinic
- Defender Project
- Elder Law Clinic
- Externship Clinic (assuming appropriate placement)
- Family Health Care Services Legal Clinic
- Judicial Clerkship Clinic
- Legal Aid Clinic
