Sara Stieben
My name is Sara Stieben, and I am a third year law student at KU. I am originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, where I completed my undergraduate work in May 2005 at Colorado State University. At CSU I studied Political Science and English. I was also involved in the student government and the legislative internship program. From 1999-2005, I worked at a private law firm in Fort Collins, during which time I gained insight into what practicing law was all about.
I chose KU law because of the impressive faculty and friendliness of the students. As soon as I visited KU I knew that I would be spending the next three years in Lawrence. I found the town to be easily accessible and the people to be very welcoming. I have enjoyed my classes and have made a lot of friends. I am involved in several organizations on campus and I am a legal intern at the Douglas County Legal Aid Society. This past summer I worked at March, Olive & Pharris, LLC, a law firm in my hometown.
The school spirit at KU is genuine and Lawrence truly supports and enjoys the student population. I encourage anyone even remotely interested in attending KU to stop by Green Hall for a tour. If you have any questions about KU, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email at skath999@aol.com
