Visiting Student Information
Policies and Standards
The University of Kansas School of Law accepts visiting student applications.
Admission as a visiting student is subject to the approval of the Associate Dean for Academic
Affairs and is granted on a space available basis. Visiting students are eligible to enroll at
the beginning of the semester of their visit. Please contact the KU School of Law registrar for
more information at (785) 864-9211.
Application Process
Applications to enroll as a visiting student
must be completed prior to the end of the semester before
the intended visit and must include:
- A letter from the Dean of the applicant's present school stating that the applicant is in good
standing and that courses taken at the University of Kansas School of Law will transfer back to the home
school.
- A current University of Kansas School of Law application form and $50 application fee.
- Upon admission, a $500 seat deposit is required. Seat deposit deadlines vary depending
on when admission is granted, but not before April 1.
