David Gottlieb, a graduate of the Georgetown University
Law Center, joined the KU Law faculty in 1979. He served as director
of the Paul E. Wilson Defender Project, 1979-1999, and as director of
clinical programs, 1995-1999. He teaches International Human Rights, Professional Responsibility, Criminal Procedure, and Refugee and Asylum Law. He is director of the Family Health Care Legal Services Clinic. Gottlieb has written extensively on guideline sentencing and the death penalty. He is also nationally recognized for his leadership in clinical legal education and has served as a consultant on clinical legal education in the United States and abroad, most recently
in the Ukraine, Bulgaria and Turkey.
