Spring events include CLE, library luncheon

Members of the KU Law Class of 1978 have organized a weekend of reunion activities that include a Friday night cocktail party at Bill Skepnek’s house, coffee and conversation with Dean Gail Agrawal, a walk to old Green Hall and a Saturday evening dinner.

Manhattan Admitted and Prospective Students Reception

The University of Kansas School of Law is co-hosting a reception in Manhattan for students who have been admitted or are considering attending KU Law. This is a wonderful opportunity for alumni to meet potential KU Law students and help us persuade the best and brightest Kansans that Green Hall is the right place to get a great legal education.

Cocktails and appetizers will be served starting at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6:15. The evening’s host is Charlie Hostetler, L’63.

We had such a great response to last year’s inaugural Return to Green CLE that we’re hosting it again in April. Judges and attorneys – all KU Law alumni – will present sessions on employment law, intellectual property, recent Kansas and Missouri decisions and more. Five hours of credit, including two hours of ethics, are pending approval.

Paul E. Wilson Friends of the Law Library Lecture

Professor Wilson was an ardent supporter of the law library and an expert in legal history. The library honors his memory each April by hosting a lecture on legal history, law books and law libraries. This year’s address will be delivered by Professor Sandra Craig McKenzie, who will speak about “What Lawyers Can Learn from Artists.”
