The Tribal Judicial Support Clinic

The Tribal Judicial Support Clinic gives second and third year students the opportunity to assist tribal court systems through a variety of projects. Although the Center gives priority to the research requests of regional tribes (Kansas and Oklahoma), clinical students have worked on projects for tribal courts throughout the nation.

Students in the Certificate Program have interned with or provided clinical support to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Tribal Court, Colville Confederated Tribes Tribal Court, Cheyenne-Arapahoe Attorney General's Office, Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians legal department, Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Supreme Court, Muscogee (Creek) Nation District Court and Supreme Court, Turtle Mountain Chippewa District Court, Kaw Nation of Oklahoma Supreme Court , Southwest Inter-Tribal Court of Appeals, Cherokee Nation Drug Court, Sac & Fox Nation of Missouri Judicial System, and other tribes or tribal organizations.
